the Cancer Research Center of the  Cancer Institute(CRCI) in Iran

 

 

The Cancer Research Center of the Cancer Institute was established in Spring of 2002 as a new module of the National Cancer Institute of Iran to lead and coordinate basic and clinical researches on cancer into the main activities of the Cancer Institute, Imam Khomeini Medical Center, Tehran University of Medical Sciences.

 

The main goal of the CIRC is to attack malignant diseases "through laboratory research, innovative clinical trials, and prevention research."   The CIRC's dynamic research programs focus on epidemiology and prevention, Molecular Genetics and experimental research on cancer biology, Clinical Cancer Genetics, Clinical and Experimental Therapeutics, and conventional and molecular Pathology.
